We have been delighted with the positive response and enthusiasm shown by the local community towards the project so far. There will still be plenty of opportunities to get involved and help shape our proposals further.
We have held a number of events, acting as an opportunity for the local community to help shape our proposals. The latest consultation followed some four years of engagement with local residents and other relevant groups regarding aspirations for Murphy’s Yard.
A summary of the activities undertaken and feedback received throughout the consultation is included in the Statement of Community Involvement, submitted as part of the outline planning application.
Please see a link to the consultation materials from our June 2021 consultation here.
The purpose of this website has been to provide effective engagement that will inform a Statement of Community Involvement to be submitted as part of an outline planning application for the redevelopment of Murphy’s Yard.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and associated restrictions, we have undertaken engagement with local stakeholders and the wider community using a range of digital and physical tools to replace face-to-face activities.
This is to make sure that the process and feedback during the Covid-19 outbreak mirrors that taken during face-to-face engagement, for example at public exhibitions.
We hope that this will result in greater engagement with our proposals from a wider audience.
