Consultation To Date

We have been delighted with the positive response and enthusiasm shown by the local community towards the project so far. There will still be plenty of opportunities to get involved and help shape our proposals further.

We have held a number of events, acting as an opportunity for the local community to help shape our proposals. The document below outline what we have shown previously and how community feedback has been received to date.

Socially Distanced Consultation

Over the coming months we will be continuing our engagement with residents and stakeholders.

The purpose of this website is to provide effective engagement that will inform a Statement of Community Involvement to be submitted as part of a planning application for the redevelopment of Murphy’s Yard.

This is to make sure that the process and feedback during the Covid-19 outbreak mirrors that taken during face-to-face engagement, for example at public exhibitions.

We hope that this will result in greater engagement with our proposals from a wider audience.

We understand that confidence in this process from consultees and the London Borough of Camden is of paramount importance. If you have any feedback, ideas or questions regarding the process itself then please do get in contact with one of the team, who will be happy to help.

Response to Feedback

Since our November 2019 consultation milestone, we have considered all of the feedback received to date and revised our proposals accordingly. The graphics below visualise the changes we are currently addressing in the masterplan and include:

  • Distinction of residential, wellbeing and employment-led areas
  • Articulated building lines, particularly at the heart of the development
  • The implementation of ‘Murphy’s Mews’, a mews-style residential provision at the north-west corner of the site
  • Enhancing the pedestrian experience through the heart of the site
  • A new cultural space at the Kentish Town Gateway
  • Maximising flexibility of workspace
  • Exploring early phase ‘meanwhile’ uses
